How did women find out if they were pregnant before pregnancy tests?
I’m not pregnant myself, but I was just curious how women from older times [before pregnancy tests as we know them today existed] found out they were “expecting”??
Random question but I was just curious! Thanks

They saw a doctor when they missed their periods.
from what my grandma told me they used to inject there urine in bunnies and if the bunny died you were pregnant
Thumbs down me…look it up im not lying
My eldest son is now 33.
When I missed my first period, I called my doctor who told me to come back when I had missed two periods.
I went to see him then, and he sent me for a urine test at the local hospital, and I found out the results when I phoned the office the following week.
By then I was about ten or 12 weeks along.
Well what I’ve heard from my grandmother is that if you missed your period and feeling weird then you were probably pregnant. But she said that in her case, she breastfeed her kids full time so she would rarely get periods. So sometimes she wouldn’t know until the baby started kicking or when she noticed the bump.
They probably didn’t until they missed 1 or 2 periods
All early pregnancy symptoms are the same you can have with a healthy menstrual cycle. Stress can prolong a period so you cant exactly ‘just know’ your pregnant.
