“I loved the book. Read it all last night! It’s tough to teach me anything about fitness that I don’t already know. I have been in fitness for 22 years, have taught choreography and strength training at group fitness conventions in over 25 countries and have an MA in Health Ed. I usually have to go to the World conference to get updated. Books rarely give me new info, but Michelle did a great job and I learned some things from you. Well worth the money!!
I just want to say thank you…THANK YOU!! I’m a physically fit person to begin with, but was nervous for my health and the health of my child. During the first 7 weeks of my pregnancy I felt tired and fat. I was depressed about the way I looked and the way I felt about myself. Just BLAH all the time. As soon as I began your exercises and stretches, I began to feel better about myself. It’s not even about feeling fat and unattractive anymore. I have more energy, I feel healthy and overall feel better about myself. THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!

Both new moms and not so new moms want to lose the belly fat caused by pregnancy and childbirth. We are always on the lookout for a flat tummy diet plan that will get us the slim, sexy stomach we want. Some of us turn to diet pills, which are not the best choice. The side effects can be awful.

Actually the best diet plans use both nutrition and exercise to lose belly fat. Diet alone will allow you to lose pounds, but won’t necessarily get you a flat stomach. In order to do that, you must exercise.

This is where Fit Yummy Mummy comes in. It was designed especially for moms to get back into shape after childbirth. It is a diet, nutrition and exercise guide created by a mom that will teach you how to change your lifestyle to get the body you desire.

The creator of the program, Holly Rigsby, is a certified personal trainer and a women’s fitness coach. She knows that moms are busy and has incorporated this aspect into her guide. The exercises are short and her diet plan is easy to follow.

What makes the Fit Yummy Mummy program different from other flat tummy diet plans is that her book does not just say to do a bunch of cardio, 100 crunches and eat a sensible diet. It goes beyond that and teaches you how to make changes in your lifestyle so you can have long term weight loss and keep in shape for the rest of your life.

Holly includes a meal planner and menu guide that will let you feed your entire family a healthy, nutritious meal. There are no fad diets or crazy food choices. Learning to shop the smart way at the grocery store is the only requirement.

As for her exercise plan, Holly uses short burst workouts that let you burn calories fast, allowing you to lose weight quickly. All of the workouts can be performed in the comfort of your own home.

If you have been looking for a new mom’s flat tummy diet plan, I believe the Fit Yummy Mummy program may be your best choice.

Although, having a baby is a breathtaking journey for any woman, after continuing nine months of pregnancy’s varying symptoms, including enormous pregnancy weight gain, it’s natural that first thing that struck your mind is find means for losing weight after pregnancy as soon as possible. However, don’t be too impatient. Life after giving birth is full of new pleasant and unpleasant surprises, which can cut across your plans to lose weight.

Weight gain during pregnancy period is healthy and natural, but many women crave to return to their pre-pregnancy bodies. The average weight gain during pregnancy is between 25 to 35 pounds. During the birth, new moms shed about 12.5 to 14 pound, leaving 12 to 21 pounds of excess weight to be lost during the postpartum period. Just as it is best to put on weight slowly and steadily during your pregnancy, you need to be slow and steady in losing weight after pregnancy. Here are some weight loss tips for getting yourself back into shape:

Drink at least 10-12 glasses of water every day. Replace your high sugar, high calorie drinks like colas and juices, with lukewarm water, and a squeeze of lemon in it.
Say no to junk food and keep your healthy snacks, such as nuts, crackers, and fruits handy. Also, avoid readymade tinned foods.
An average weight woman requires approximately 2500 to 2800 kcal/day during lactation. The diet you take should be balanced, rich in proteins, vitamins, minerals, and carbohydrates. You should take adequate amount of milk. Iron and calcium supplements maybe taken if required.
Breastfeeding helps in losing weight after pregnancy. Nursing babies uses about 1000 calories per day, so breastfeeding is one of the most efficient ways to make sure that the extra body fat and water added during pregnancy are transferred to your baby.
Exercise is one of the best resorts for weight loss after pregnancy. Exercise will help you lose those extra pounds put on during pregnancy, ease post-partum depression and unlike dieting, it won’t harm your baby, if you are nursing. It is important that you go slowly with your exercising schedule. Wait at least six weeks after your delivery. 10 minute exercises should be started with and then increased when feel more comfortable. Try to do only low-impact exercises like walking, swimming, or yoga. Come up with your individual exercise program – derive one you can stick to – and try to find a companion in your friend or a new mum like you. Stop immediately, if you are short of breath or feel dizzy.

As somebody rightly stated “nine months on, nine months off” for losing weight after pregnancy. Do not be impatient to lose weight quickly, as you took nine months to gain that. Pregnancy and weight gain are like peas and carrots – they go hand in hand and it is healthy for you. Therefore, when trying to lose those pregnancy pounds, be sensible and do not entertain extremes: no junk food and no celebrity diets. Balanced diet full of nutrition, coupled with exercise is the safest and healthiest way to get back to your pre-pregnancy shape.

To get in shape llosing weight after pregnancy becomes really important. By starting out on some physical activities like exercise, yoga, swimming etc, you can ensure weight loss after pregnancy. Pregnancy is undeniably the most exciting phase in a woman’s life. And same as any exciting event, in this case also there are many doubts and apprehensions. There may be many questions on your mind like how do I take care after pregnancy, what changes will I have to make in my lifestyle to welcome the new family member, how much pregnancy weight will I gain and so on. So read on and clarify all your uncertainties.

To help you in your delivery and to guide you in your pregnancy period, there are different health care providers available like Obstetricians (conventional choice for childbirth), Family Physicians (your trusted medical help over the years), Maternal-fetal medicine specialists (in case of very high risk pregnancies where mother is suffering from fatal diseases) or midwives (very common choice for low risk pregnancy). It’s your personal decision and you can decide upon the health care provider by analyzing your medical condition.

The period after delivery is called post-partum. The post pregnancy care you need, will depend upon the type of delivery you have had. Every case is different but following is just an overview to help you take good care after pregnancy:

Normal Delivery

You’ll be very tired after this delivery and why not since you have worked harder than ever before in your life. Also with a sudden decrease in hormone levels you will need to take as much rest as possible. The best way to achieve this is to sleep while the baby sleeps.
You will also have contractions after you deliver your baby. These are called afterpains and they will be more intense while breastfeeding. Afterpains usually go away after the first week to ten days when the uterus starts decreasing to its pre-pregnancy size.
Proper hygiene should be followed during pregnancy period as well as after pregnancy. During your delivery your perineum has been stretched and it will be sore for many days. You can try ice-packs and sit baths to relieve soreness. Always clean yourself thoroughly to avoid any infections.
If you are breastfeeding take care of your breasts. You need to keep them clean. If they become dry or cracked, you may massage them with vitamin E oil. Please wash the oil before feeding the baby.
Take a balanced post pregnancy diet.

C-Section Delivery

In addition to the guidelines given for the normal delivery you should follow specific recommendations after surgery.
After this major surgery take full rest. You should always have help the first few times you get out of the bed.
As soon as your surgery is over you will be allowed to take clear liquids. Usually one or two days after the surgery you will be given a regular diet.
Increase your activity gradually over several days and never force yourself.
Breastfeeding may be uncomfortable due to the incision and difficulty to move around. Take your own time and find a comfortable position for your self to feed your baby.
Do exercise to look good after your pregnancy.

It is very important for you to understand exactly what to do during pregnancy and how to take care after pregnancy – because it is going to be a wonderful journey that you will remember all your life.

I hope that this article gave you an insight on the post-partum period and cleared all your doubts.

The pregnancy health is vital and the mother should do everything she can in order to provide herself with the detailed information about each of the three trimesters of the pregnancy. Each trimester will have its own requirements and the pregnant woman should know how to meet them in order to protect the health of her baby. Information can be critical because every woman should learn how to deal with the most exciting period of her life without being too stressed about it. The woman should be provided with updated information in order to find everything about her possible risks and choices. There is a wide range of issues and worries that can overwhelm the woman while she is pregnant. Therefore, she must provide herself with a pregnancy guide in order to learn how to handle all the physical and emotional changes that can challenge her while she is pregnant.

The reliable pregnancy guide can provide the woman with the necessary pregnancy calculator that will monitor her pregnancy on a constant basis. The pregnancy weeks and months will be countered and the woman will find out more about her due date. She will learn how to take proper care of her and hr baby during each of the three trimesters. The pregnancy health can be maintained by paying attention to the guide. For instance, the first trimester is likely to cover the first 3 moths of the entire pregnancy period. This is when the baby’s organs start to develop and the fetus will become more susceptible to various drugs and infections.

The hormone changes are quite evident during this period and the woman will experience the well known morning sickness. This sickness can also be triggered by several factors such as perfumes, food odors and cigarette smoke. By the guide can teach the woman that this morning sickness is likely to end as soon as the first trimester is over. The second trimester will come along with its specific pregnancy health and care and the woman will experience slight contractions. The fetus has developed its organs and its heartbeats can be heard. The baby will acquire the necessary fat deposits in order to regulate the body temperature soon after its birth. The baby can also hear the sounds coming from the outside world and the mother should learn how to communicate with her baby in order to cherish their special relationship.

The pregnancy guide also shows the changes that take place during the last trimester. For instance, it will highlight all the changes that are likely to take place in the third trimester in order for the mother to know what she has to deal with. The head, the brain and the eyes of the baby are fully formed and the mother should get prepared for his arrival. The guide is extremely helpful because it can present the changes and development of the fetus. The mother will know everything that happens inside her womb and she will be more prepared for the delivery.

Such guides were especially designed in order to address all the possible concerns and doubts of the woman who expects a baby. Still, every mother to be should be perfectly aware that the best guide is to be found in her own medical care provider. He is the only one who can teach her everything and show her the necessary steps of the pregnancy health. He is the one who has the necessary training and knowledge in order to provide you with specific and detailed information regarding any of the pregnancy facts and status. Therefore, you should trust him and start looking for information online in order to provide yourself with the ideal mixture of knowledge. You need to provide yourself with a reliable guide in order to learn how to get sound sleep and how to provide yourself with a balanced and nutritious diet. The guide can also show you how to stay physically fit and how to seek the right and necessary answers in the right place and by asking the right person.

You can also try to write a pregnancy journal in order to feel more connected with your baby. Such a journal can transform everything and you will be provided with an amazing experience knowing that you are creating one of your most beautiful memories ever. The crucial moments can be written down in order for you to remember them later and share them with your loved ones.

You’re several weeks pregnant and you’re staring to notice changes in your body and your daily routines. Don’t panic over these — everything that is happening during your pregnancy week by week is normal because you are now carrying another life with you. The best way to deal with the changes is to carefully monitor them using a pregnancy weekly calendar.

How Can A Weekly Calendar Help You?

A pregnancy calender is a way for your to monitor developments throughout your pregnancy week by week. Keeping very close watch on the changes that are happening will help you enjoy the 9-month experience more and get rid of the unnecessary stress.

How Do You Use A Pregnancy Week Calendar?

The date of your calendar begins on the last day of your most recent menstrual period. Obstetricians use this same method to estimate the date you are due to give birth, which is more or less 40 weeks.

First time pregnancies are normally given one or two weeks before and after the expected delivery date, because pregnancies are different among different women; so you cannot accurately or 100% predict dates. Tracking changes in the pregnancy week by week is also beneficial, especially to all mothers excited to see their little ones get born.

Is It Reliable?

Remember that the experience of pregnancy varies and there is no single pattern to it. This is why although a pregancy weekly calendar is a major help, it is not totally accurate. You should still maintain regular visits to your obstetrician so he or she can better tell you what is happening to your body and how your baby is doing inside your tummy. A calendar is simply a handy guide on basic pregnancy issues and approximated schedules.

Having a calendar with you assists greatly in monitoring your pregnancy week by week and making sure you are doing the right thing at the right times. Not only that, having a monitoring system also helps bring you closer to your baby, as now you are more familiar with the development changes both outside and within you. You will surely enjoy your pregnancy the more involved you are with your body.

Monitor your pregnancy week by week using a pregnancy weekly calendar. Not only will this help you understand the changes in your body, but also help you bond with your baby more.
