PostHeaderIcon How to Lose Pregnancy Weight Fast & Keep it Off for Good

If you have recently had a baby, or ever had a baby for that matter, you know that pregnancy puts your body through many changes.  One of those changes is, unfortunately, weight gain.  While some women easily shed pounds by chasing around their toddlers and trying to care for a newborn, others find it hardly that simple and need a little more help.  It IS possible to lose pregnancy weight fast in a healthy way.  Guess what else, it’s even possible to keep it off for good!

Wether you are breastfeeding or formula feeding, it’s especially important that you maintain a healthy postpartum lifestyle.  Eating right and getting a sufficient amount of rest and excercise is essential in getting your body to bounce back into shape.  For this very reason, you need to be weary of  any kind of crash diets, or anything that is going to eliminate imporant food groups from your diet.  In fact, any diet that eliminates food groups from your diet is something you want to steer clear of.  If it is something you cannot follow for the rest of your life, it’s probably not a good idea.

To get into the habit of eating right, and eating enough if you are breastfeeding, you need to learn what foods to look for and how to prepare them in a healthy way.  Anyone can go buy fresh corn at the grocery store, but once you slather it in a heap of butter and salt, it isn’t quite as healthy as it was to begin with.  Learning how to prepare your food so that it is healthy AND delicious is extremely important.  Remember, food is fuel.  Now, that is not to say that you cannot enjoy a brownie every now and again!

Aside from eating right, getting exercise after you have had a baby is also  important in being able to lose pregnancy weight fast.  You don’t even have to go to the gym to get excercise.  In fact, I recommend putting the new baby in a stroller and going for a power walk around the neighborhood.  Afterwards, you can choose a couple extra exercises to do depending on what day it is.  For example, on Monday you could focus on abs, Wednesday would be legs, and Friday you would work out your upper body.  This way you aren’t cramming it all into one day and exhausting yourself but still getting in strength training as well as cardio.

Last but not least, surround yourself with other people trying to lose weight.  It would be really difficult to lose pregnancy weight fast if you are doing it alone right?  Having the right resources and support around you is going to make or break your weight loss success.  Wether you join a local weight loss group or follow an online pregnancy weight loss forum, make sure that you are around others to share your success and keep each other motivated!

Don’t be a fence sitter.  Get up, get moving, and make the changes you want to see!  With the right attitude and the right resources, you CAN and WILL lose pregnancy weight fast!  This IS your year!

The current enrollment in many gymnasiums and fitness centers immediately tells us that more and more people are realizing that being over Weight is a burden not just to their health but it may also endanger their very lives. A total of 300,000 or more people die each year simply because they are overweight. This means that they succumbed to illnesses which were directly caused by their having a BMI that is higher than is recommended by nutritionists. People who are overweight also struggle with issues such as chronic fatigue, sleeping disorders, risk of heart diseases and also low self esteem which is amplified by the general media in that it portrays the skinny models or males with six-packs as being the ideal standard.

There are a few ways you can take to win the battle against weight gain. One of them is exercise. A sizeable number of people are overweight because they live a sedentary lifestyle, that is, a life that is devoid of exercise or much physical exertion. Nowhere is that so than in the US where there is a vehicle for every two people and people prefer to drive even for ridiculously short distances. This, coupled with a junk food society, causes people to become overweight easily. Enrolling in a gym is ideal because it helps you shed the excess weight. In case your budget does not allow you to enroll in a quality fitness club, you can easily take matters into your own hands and jog on your own or simply walk around the block.

Eating right is also a great way to fight weight gain. Choosing foods that have low fats and low carbohydrates is the way to smart shopping.

When a woman experiences childbirth, her life will never be the same again. And as big as the changes it brings to their lives, it also causes noticable changes to their body.

Young moms are currently facing the dilemma of losing pregnancy weight. Most young mothers are surprised by how much weight they gained and how difficult it can be to get back in shape. Although some can get their figures back after a while, some struggle to get back to shape.

You may ask how celebrities give birth without even showing signs that they have been pregnant. Even though this is what Hollywood leads us into thinking, this is different from reality. This is because when you get pregnant, your body as a whole changes. From the way it produces hormones to the rate of which ones metabolism occurs, everything gets changed. This guide will help you find out the things you can do to get rid of those post-natal lbs and retain your long lost figure in a healthy and natural way.

Most new moms are not pleased with the idea that they still show that pregnant appearence even though they have already given birth. Some may think that this condition is odd but it’s just normal.

Remember, during pregnancy the body adapts to accommodate the new fetus. After she has given birth, her body naturally works to re-shrink the size of her belly. This process is painfully slow and somewhat unnoticeable; this is why some women get anxious that they’ll never see their slim figures again. It usually takes the uterus to contract back to its normal size, and within this time period she also loses somewhere around 8 to 20 lbs of weight. Similarly, it would also take the hips and pelvic area to return to their pre-pregnancy status.

While the body has its own way turning back time, you can hasten the process by doing these activities.

Dieting – There’s no question why most weight loss programs include dieting. Unlike what most people believe, dieting should not be a self-imposed starvation. Dieting does not necessarily mean that you should refrain from eating. It simply means eating only the amount of food that your body needs, so that you won’t have extra calories that would be turned to fat.By suppressing your cravings, you can increase your body’s metabolism.

Working out – Workout sessions can give you a boost in losing weight. It burns stored fat and increases the rate of the body’s metabolism. The additional benefit of a workout is the production of endorphins that can relieve stress levels. For mothers who have just given birth, it advised that they only participate in easy workouts.

Breastfeeding – Research has shown that breastfeeding is an effective way of losing baby weight. Breastfeeding consumes around 500 calories per day. However, if you are thinking about breast feeding, make sure you observe a healthy diet to improve your lactation.

Make the decision today that you are going to lose the weight. You will do it.

PostHeaderIcon Best Way to Lose Weight: Finally!!! The Whole Truth About Weight Loss

You can’t go one day without hearing about some new “top secret” Hollywood diet that’s guaranteed to shed pounds from your frame with minimal effort. Whether it’s our favorite celebrity “spilling the beans” about their miraculous post pregnancy weight loss, some lady with a dieting success story on the Today Show, or just plain old hearsay among girlfriends – there’s always a new way to lose weight that everyone’s trying. But ask yourself this: “Is it a good thing to be jumping from one horse to the next in the middle of a race? Does a best way to lose weight even exist?

The short answer is yes; there is one “best” way to work the fat off, but there are a million ways to lose weight. It all depends on your current weight and health status, your weight loss goals, your time frame, and your preferences. However, there is another phase of dieting that no one ever seems to talk about: Keeping off the weight you’ve lost.

To keep the weight off, after you’ve hit your goal, you have to maintain a steady, healthy lifestyle of eating right and exercising regularly. Now, that might sound pretty easy, and it can be, but if you’re just coming off a crazy fad diet that only allowed you to eat cabbage soup, grapefruit, or that neglected one large part of a balanced diet like carbs, then maintaining your ideal weight may be a hard nut to crack.

Let’s face it – even the best diet in the world that makes you lose all the weight you want is not sustainable over the long term. Are you going to follow the Atkins Diet, and never eat carbs again? Are you going to pay Nutrisystem to prepare every meal you eat for the rest of your life? Are you going to keep the full Weight Watchers points list in your handbag until you’re 85 years old?

When it all comes down to it, the best way to lose weight is comprised of two elements:

A Healthy Diet.

Do you want to drop the excess weight? Then eat less. For the maintenance phase, eat more until you stop losing weight; stop when you start gaining weight because that’s your maintenance level. But the most important thing is that you eat HEALTHY. Eat natural foods close to its source (a fresh baked potato is healthier than a soggy Lay’s potato chip, and a slice of tomato is much healthier than ketchup).

Exercise.

There is no way to get around this one. Regular exercise keeps your body in good shape, helps your system process food more easily, and keeps you stronger and healthier in your old age. Paired with dieting, regular exercise is going to help you shed pounds and tone your body.

Sounds boring, doesn’t it? This weight loss plan doesn’t have a catchy name, and it isn’t on the cover of any women’s health magazine. It’s just plain common sense. Just what it takes to get you down to your goal weight.

Women all across the globe are starting to catch on. The cycle of yo-yo dieting and the lopsided fad weight loss programs are unreliable and they don?t deliver the consistent results that women need.

PostHeaderIcon How to Lose the Pounds You Gained During Your Pregnancy

During pregnancy, many women think that they need to eat for two. Moreover, a lot of expectant mothers feel that they can eat absolutely anything they want without thinking of their appearance and waist. As a result, they end up gaining a lot of weight during pregnancy which can be very difficult to lose after they give birth.

Although being pregnant is not a walk in the park, you need to take better control of yourself when it comes to eating. As for the unwanted weight gain, you can actually get your pre-pregnancy body back without resorting to liposuction and other invasive procedures. There are a lot of thing you can do to shed the pounds off naturally. Below are some pointers that you should follow to help start post-natal weight loss.

Pointer # 1 Breastfeed Your Baby

Women end up having a lot of fatty deposits in their body during pregnancy to prepare them for lactation. Nature designed the body such that in case of drought or food shortage, mothers can still provide nourishment for their babies. Therefore, the best way for you to lose that pregnancy flab is to breastfeed your baby. In fact, you can lose an average of 500 calories a day just by breastfeeding your child. Experts also say that breastfeeding is a good form of contraception in the first few weeks after giving birth. And lastly, breast milk is still the best milk for babies, according to doctors.

Pointer # 2 Walk Your Excess Fat Out

Taking care of the baby does not mean you have to sit or lie down beside your baby everyday. If you want to lose weight, you better move your body. Cradling and rocking the baby is a good exercise, but you do not want your baby to get used to being carried all the time. What you can do is to walk in the park with your baby or visit your friends and family.  Go ahead and show off your newborn babe.

Other activities that may help you lose weight while taking care of the baby is by cleaning the house, washing the dishes and doing household chores while your baby is asleep. You may also want to dance while watching the television. You really do not need to go to the gym or buy an expensive exercise equipment to keep your body and mind active.

Pointer # 3 Restrain Your Cravings

Since you get used to giving in to your cravings when you were pregnant, you may still have desire for food that are fattening and high in calories. The best thing to do is to start your dieting early on. After you have recuperated from your childbirth or your operation, in case you had a caesarian section, you ought to start eating healthy. Always remember that the food that you eat will have an impact on the nutrients you are feeding your baby if you are breastfeeding. It would be wiser for you to stick to foods that are rich in vitamins and minerals and low on sugar.

Pointer # 4 Know When To Seek Help

If you have gained a lot of weight during your pregnancy, no amount of dieting and lifting weights can help you lose so many pounds in a short period of time. If you want to jumpstart you weight loss, you may want to find natural supplements or products, such as Phenocal, that will help reduce your cravings, boost your metabolism and assist you in burning off excess fat. If you are still breastfeeding, it would be best to consult your doctor before you take any natural supplements.
